WE ARE THE REA FAMILY. God has given us the gift of going to Zambia as missionaries. It is a timely answer of our prayer to be wholly used of Him. From the moment that we said, “Yes LORD, we will go.” He began to continuously confirm His will in our lives. His hand has been heavy upon us as He has prepared us for ministering in this needy field. By His grace, every member of our family is on board with His plan. There is much excitement and gratitude to Our Saviour for what He is doing. Though we are so very aware of our own limitations and weaknesses, God is showing Himself mighty as we simply yield.
We began our ministry in a most typical manner. While serving in our local church, God called me to preach. Before we ever went to Oklahoma for Bible College, we began to host missionaries in our home on a regular basis. We loved to fellowship with them and hear about their fields. While I was attending Bible College we served in the youth ministry with great joy at Southwest Baptist Church.
God called us to Pasco where I became the Pastor of Tri-Cities Baptist Church. We were thrilled to be there. God gave a great love for the people and the city. We dug our heels in and planned to stay. While in the ministry in Pasco, we had missionaries continuously in our home. We also had the pleasure of hosting many national pastors from third world countries. What an eye opener to see the amazing things God was doing in those countries where the people have no hope and are begging for someone to tell them of The One True God.
